Dear Cougar Families,
Last Friday was a special day for our senior class. Our seniors gathered early for Senior Sunrise and then walked into school together to begin the day. I loved seeing them enjoy these traditions and celebrate the beginning of their final year at University. Senior year will move quickly, and I hope they take the time to enjoy these moments and make memories together along the way.
There is so much happening across our campus. Our students are getting involved in clubs, representing University through athletics, and showing up to support one another. Every club meeting, practice, game, and event gives our students another opportunity to connect with their school and find their place in our Cougar community. Thank you to the staffulty members, coaches, and sponsors who give their time to make these experiences possible.
Homecoming excitement is growing, and dance tickets are now on sale. Our students have been looking forward to this, and I know it will be a great night. Students should purchase their tickets early and make sure they meet all requirements to attend.
I am proud of the school spirit we continue to see throughout University. Cougar pride is growing in our classrooms, across our campus, and in the stands. Keep wearing your blue and gold, supporting our students, and celebrating all that makes University High School special.
Thank you to SGA for making this edition of The Cougar Roar possible and for helping us share the many great things happening at University. Go Cougars!
Proud to be your principal,
Principal Christy Gorberg
