Student Techs

Our student techs play an integral part in making sure UHS students have working laptops and chargers. They are friendly, courteous, and willing to help. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting students with technical issues, filing paperwork, helping students complete the online student tech request and witness statements, communicating with Media Center staff about more complex technical issues and when a new device needs to be issued to the student.

So you want to be a student tech?

Student techs should:
  • Be at school consistently and on-time to class
  • Be tech-savvy
  • Be willing to learn the device set-up process and other common trouble-shooting steps
  • Be willing to listen to and take direction from Media Center staff, the Digital Dean, and other adults
  • Be willing to talk to and work with other student techs
  • Be willing to talk to and work with students needing tech help
  • Have good organizational skills
  • Be willing to assist with other tasks as needed
